The family estate of Paulo Laureano Wines is located in Vidigueira, one of Portugal’s oldest DOCs in the Alentejo region.  Paulo operates 110 hectares in Vidigueira and an additional 10 hectares in Evora, 50km to the north.  The climate of the Vidigueira region is one of the most temperate in the Alentejo due to a 50km long escarpment which runs east to west.

Paulo always seeks to draw out the terroir and character of his grapes in every wine he makes.
The soil of the vineyards have a high concentration of schist, which imparts a pleasant minerality to the wines.  Paulo Laureano is committed to using Portuguese varietals that have been specifically adapted to the terroir of his vineyards.  This combination allows him to create wines with a clear identity that are uniquely Portuguese.
