This Madeira has burnt orange and amber hues in the glass.  The nose is clean with notes of caramel, fig, and orange peel.  These follow through on the palate.  The wine is sweet, with a medium body and a mouth-watering acidity.  The finish is clean and long as each note lingers and disappears.  The Rainwater style is bit lighter and more mild than other Madeiras.
