The Cuveé Prédilection sparkling Vouvray from Chateau Moncontour gets its name from the French novelist Balzac, who referred to Moncontour has his “prédilection”, which literally translates to, “beloved favorite” in English.  This Vouvray is 100% Chenin Blanc from the Loire Valley and is an excellent introduction to the style and region. This wine represents Moncontour’s best sparkling Cuvée.  It is fine and complex, with aromas of hazelnuts, layers of acidity, a touch of toast, but still retains great fresh fruit flavors.
